Versioning

The Cortiqa API uses date-based versioning. Each API version is identified by a date string and remains stable for at least 12 months after a newer version is released.

Version Format

Cortiqa APIs follow standard semantic versioning prefixing (/api/v1) ensuring stable, non-breaking developer integrations. Current stable version is v1 (2026).

Making Versioned Requests

All endpoints are prefixed under /api/v1/:

All requests directed to /api/v1 are routed to the latest high-throughput LPU clusters.

Backwards Compatibility

We guarantee backwards compatibility within a version. The following are not considered breaking changes:

• Adding new optional request parameters
• Adding new fields to response objects
• Adding new enum values (when documented as extensible)
• Adding new API endpoints

Deprecation Policy

When a version is deprecated:

1. A deprecation notice is added to the changelog
2. Email notifications are sent to all affected API key owners
3. The API returns a Deprecation header with the sunset date
4. After the sunset date, requests using the deprecated version return 400
